Welcome to Bookmark Cleaner. By downloading, installing, or using the Bookmark Cleaner browser extension (the “Extension”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Extension.

These Terms are a legal agreement between you (“User”) and DazeStack (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Ashish Dungdung.

1. License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, DazeStack grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension for your personal or internal business purposes.

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Extension.
  • Use the Extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Extension.
  • Sell, rent, or sub-license the Extension to others without our express written consent.

2. The “Broken Link Checker” Feature

The Extension includes a feature to scan and identify broken links (e.g., 404 errors).

  • Network Traffic: You acknowledge that this feature sends HTTP requests (“pings”) from your IP address to the websites in your bookmarks.
  • Accuracy: We do not guarantee 100% accuracy. A link may be flagged as “broken” due to temporary server issues, firewalls, or strict anti-bot protections on the target website. You are responsible for verifying links before permanent deletion.

3. User Responsibilities & Data Backup (CRITICAL)

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THIS EXTENSION IS TO DELETE DATA (BOOKMARKS).

  • Mandatory Backup: We strongly recommend that you export and back up your bookmarks (using your browser’s native “Export Bookmarks” feature) before running any cleaning operation.
  • Risk of Loss: DazeStack is not responsible for any accidental loss of data, including bookmarks, folders, or history, resulting from the use of this Extension. You use the “Delete,” “Merge,” and “Clean” functions at your own risk.

4. Third-Party Links and Partner Offers

The Extension dashboard may display “Partner Offers,” advertisements, or links to third-party tools.

  • No Endorsement: These links are provided for convenience and monetization. DazeStack does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the content, products, or services offered by third parties.
  • Separate Terms: Interaction with these third parties is governed by their own privacy policies and terms of service. DazeStack is not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of third-party websites.

5. Intellectual Property

The Extension, including its code, design, interface, and branding, is the intellectual property of DazeStack and Ashish Dungdung. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Extension immediately, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Extension will immediately cease.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DAZESTACK DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE EXTENSION IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DAZESTACK, ASHISH DUNGDUNG, OR ITS PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA (INCLUDING BOOKMARKS), USE, OR GOODWILL, RESULTING FROM:

  1. YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE EXTENSION;
  2. ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY;
  3. UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, FOR THE EXTENSION (WHICH IS ZERO FOR THE FREE VERSION).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DazeStack and Ashish Dungdung from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Extension or your violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Rourkela, Odisha, India.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Extension after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
